I was born in a place called Nelson 36 years ago. It's a nice place, depending on what you like, but it is also a place where a lot of people know you, and like to know your business.

I guess you could say I outgrew it, or it outgrew me, I'm not sure which, so at the tender age of 24 sold up pretty much all I owned and moved to Christchurch. It was the middle of summer and bloody hot, but after a four and a half hour drive I arrived tired but in one piece.

For those of you who do not know New Zealand, both Nelson and Christchurch are in the South Island...commonly known as the Mainland of New Zealand. Christchurch is also known as the Garden City and has been described as a very English type of city. It is also the second largest city in New Zealand.

For a small town girl it was a bit of an eye opener. Anyways I got used to it soon enough. I got a job two days after I moved here which was a bonus. I was doing welding and stuff like that which was a nice change. I have pretty much worked in an office all my working life, so to just be a number for a while was refreshing.

So what can I tell you about me.
